Missions tasked to the regional delegations

The AFNOR Group has forged its success by applying a business policy that hinges on three fundamentals: impartiality, competency, and close ties. With the AFNOR's Regional Delegations, this fundamental principle of fostering close ties takes on all its economic meaning. The delegations reflect just how strategically critical these ties are, and how the AFNOR envisions itself as part of a bigger picture, extending beyond our business sectors and work record to take on the role of fully independent socio-economic actor.

Each of the 14 Regional Delegations gives AFNOR customers and partners one-stop access to all the services delivered by the various AFNOR companies and subsidiaries: standardization, certification, feedback on standards coverage, industry press, and training.

These Delegations are full-blown knowledge clusters led by teams tasked with recognizing the needs and expectations of the people that walk through their doors, regardless of whether or not they are customers, and with guiding them towards the solutions best-geared to their specific contexts. The Delegation teams also provide insight on current research and future perspectives in standardization and assessment services, offering limitless access to the full French and international standards catalogue, and giving the latest feedback from the field on sector-specific issues.

Perfectly in touch with the economic and social challenges local to their region, AFNOR teams are well-placed to fulfil another key responsibility: to meet community-wide needs. Indeed, it is through focusing on cross-discipline themes such as sustainable development, economic intelligence or the management system that they are in a position to syndicate regional-scale actors and harness the competencies needed in order to build the most effective and most innovative solutions.

In each of these 14 regions, AFNOR Delegations are looked upon as a key partner in local economic activity, capable of leading and integrating a cross-purpose guidance and information network handling everything related to standardization and regulatory governance.
