Rhône-Alpes Exchange Platform on ISO 26000: Report and perspectives

In September 2008, the AFNOR Group and the CIRIDD, prompted by the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council, launched the ISO 26000 platform relative to social responsibility, gathering together local authorities, government departments, associations, SMEs and major groups of the Rhône-Alpes region.


This platform has offered the Rhône-Alpes region players a site for privileged interaction, allowing them to anticipate the arrival of the future ISO 26000 standard and to outline a social responsibility policy consistent with global trends.


A summary report records the key elements regarding social responsibility and reproduces the feedback from men and women having taken part in the regional work and having conducted concrete actions within their own organisation. They bear witness to both their achievements and the questions which they ask themselves in order to fully apply the principles of social responsibility.
