Cooperation agreement signed between the AFNOR Group and its Uzbek counterpart UzStandard

An Uzbek delegation - comprising members of UzStandard, the national standards, metrology and certification body, representatives of the Uzbek Ministry for Industry and of the Uzbekistan embassy in France - was received in Paris for the signature of a cooperation agreement.


The cooperation agreement signed between the Uzbek delegation and the AFNOR Group focuses in particular on a harmonisation of the national standardization systems, based on international requirements, in order to create the conditions for mutual recognition.


The two institutes agreed to exchange normative and legal documents, information on standards drafting programmes and projects, as well as their know-how in the standardization and certification fields.


The exchange of expertise in the training of standardisation and certification specialists as well as in the organisation of seminars is also planned.
