As from January 1, 2011, AFAQ-EAQA will become AFNOR UK

As from January 1, 2011, the subsidiary will conduct business under the AFNOR Group banner. With this name change, our U.K. subsidiary reaffirms its appurtenance to the AFNOR Group.


Founded in 1991, AFAQ-EAQA deployed at the outset its expertise within the energy sector and obtained the UKAS accreditation for ISO 9001 quality management system certification.


The ISO 14001 accreditation followed in 1996. AFAQ-EAQA became a subsidiary of the AFNOR Group in 2001, extending its range of services to all sectors of activity. Nevertheless, 29% of the certificates issued by it worldwide stem from the energy sector which remains its favourite market.


The subsidiary proposes the essential systems certifications: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), AFAQ Environment step-by-step, OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety, accreditation under way) but also AFAQ 26000 assessment (sustainable development).


Its main clients: AREVA T&D, EADS Astrium, EDF Energy, Siemens, Magnox, Alstom Transport, Schneider.
