Three hospitals in Taiwan certified ISO 27001 “Information Security Management System” by Afaq Afnor International Asia

Three major hospitals in Taiwan - the Hsichih Cathay General Hospital, General Hospital of Armed Forces Taoyuan and Cheng Chung Hsiao Hospital - have been certified ISO 27001:2005 “Information Security Management System” by the group’s Taiwanese subsidiary: Afaq Afnor International Asia.

To meet the requirements in terms of information security and protection of personal data, the largest hospitals in Taiwan continue to strengthen the security of data relating to patient records and to reassure their patients about the confidentiality of their personal information.

Since 2010, these hospitals are also participating in the Taiwanese Ministry of Health programme for the protection of medical records.
