“Diversity tools in France and European countries”, European conference, June 9th 2011, Paris

The General Secretary of immigration and integration of Ministry of Interior - Reception, Integration and Citizenship Unit – organises the conference: “Diversity tools in France and European countries” on June 9th 2011, from 9 am to 5.30 pm, in the Chamber of Handicraft.


What are the best practices for promoting diversity in the labour market? How does this affect the prevention of discrimination based on origin? The conference “Diversity tools in France and European countries: what are the best practices for promoting diversity in the labour market? How does this affect the prevention of discrimination based on origin?” will answer these questions. France will present the Label Diversité, delivered by AFNOR Certification.


The conference which is supported by the European fund of integration, will take place on June 9th 2011, from 9 am to 5.30 pm, in the Chamber of Handicraft - APCMA ‐ 12, avenue Marceau 75008 PARIS – Tél.01 44 43 80 50

  • 10am - The discriminations and diversity concepts and Issues
  • 10:10 - Anti discrimination Unit / immigration-integration Unit
  • 10:30 - First round table - Diversity Charter and other implemented procedures in Europe
  • 11:30 - Other Tools that have been implemented in Europe (United Kingdom, Italy, Spain)
  • 12:30 - Lunch
  • 2pm - Second round table - The French diversity label
  • 3pm - Others label in Europe: in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • 4:15pm - How can the tools implemented by European states contribute to prevent discrimination
  • 5pm - Conclusion
