“EFQM Learning Edge 2011 : Taking Responsibility for a Sustainable Future”, 23-24th of June, Brussels

The EFQM Learning Edge is an event open for EFQM Members to learn from good practice examples, discuss with peers and generate innovative approaches! This year's the Learning Edge will be hosted by Solvay on 23 - 34 June in Brussels.

The theme for the event is: “Taking Responsibility for a Sustainable Future”. Excellent organisations embed within their culture an ethical mindset, clear values and the highest standards for organisational behaviour, all of which enable them to strive for economic, social and ecological sustainability.

We are focussing both the Learning Edge (June) and the EFQM Forum (October) based on feedback from our members on the key issues of interest and because we anticipate a number of developments during 2011, most prominently the UN Guidelines on Business and Human Rights and an announcement from the European Commission regarding sustainability legislation.

Objective of the Learning Edge

The objective is to provide a platform for EFQM Members to share and exchange their knowledge, experience and ideas relating to the theme of the event. The atmosphere is less formal than the Forum, one of collaboration and discussion to enable effective networking and exchange. The target audience is practitioners within the chosen subject. We plan for 100 to 150 attendees.

A number of the sessions are set up specifically to enable interaction and discussion, using roundtable discussions to promote exchanges.
