The EN 13445 standard on unfired pressure vessels is a standard fixture in the industrial field. The European Committee for Standardization - CEN - would like to promote it through examples of its implementation and seeks one or more experts to guide the project. Apply!
The standard EN 13445 has specific provisions for ease of use: official response to questions, taking into account change requests, regular updates... The Union de Normalisation de la Mécanique - sector-based standardization bureaux appointed by AFNOR, is responsible for these provisions in the context of the Pressure equipment migration help desk EN 13445/MHD, created in August 2002.
A recent survey on the use of CEN European standards in the field of pressure vessels reveals that a better understanding of their content and their use is essential to encourage their adoption.
With this in mind, CEN organizes a call for experts. Purpose: to enable the user to correctly understand and apply the requirements of EN 13445, to know its scope and help him in identifying permissible deviations and possible alternatives.
How? The expert is asked to write two examples of implementation of the standard and then present during an event organized in the CEN premises in Brussels and dedicated to industrials and other stakeholders.
Both examples can be made either by the same person or two different applicants, in the context of an overall budget of 90 man / days.
