Standardization

Not every business has a standardization desk, as they don't always need one, either because of their activity or, as is generally the case, because they are not big enough. Where a standardization department has been set up, it needs to be efficiently organized, drawing in input from every unit in the company, not just on standards strategy and approaches but also on drafting the standards.

The standardization process is 'genetically wired' as a collective initiative. Every leadership function, branch or unit in the company has to be considered a cluster of experts harnessed into a single network that leads and coordinates the standardization function. It is this kind of platform that enables a socio-economic organization to push their views through national, European and international standardization bodies.
