Access to the private area of Electronic Committees is effected by the use of an access code allocated to you by AFNOR. This access code is strictly personal and confidential. In the event of loss or theft of your access code, you must inform AFNOR thereof as soon as possible. In return, AFNOR will provide you with a new code as soon as possible.
Any messages you send to Committee(s) shall be transmitted to all the participants (private area) and may be made available to the public (public area).

Consequently, your attention is drawn to your obligation to declare to AFNOR the existence of any patented invention described in the standard or required for its implementation, as soon as you are aware thereof. Where this is done, AFNOR shall endeavour, where appropriate, to obtain the holder’s undertaking to grant a licence upon reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.
The standards elaborated in the Electronic Committees are collective works within the meaning of article L 113-2, French Intellectual Property Code (Code de la propriété intellectuelle) and are the exclusive property of AFNOR. Consequently, their reproduction or communication to the public without the prior written authorisation of AFNOR is prohibited, should it exceed the objects of the Electronic Committee.
Information made available to you through the Electronic Committees or, more generally, on AFNOR’s Web server, constitutes a database protected by AFNOR’s copyright and its rights sui generis. Therefore, only the extraction, by temporary or permanent transfer, or the re-use, on any other medium, by any means and in any form, of an insubstantial part thereof is authorised for the elaboration of standards. Any other form of exploitation, including commercial exploitation, is prohibited.
The Electronic Committees entail the automated processing of personal data. Pursuant to articles 38, 39 and 40 of the French Data Protection and Privacy Act (loi "Informatique and Libertes") n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended in August 2004, you have a right of access and objection to, deletion and rectification of data concerning you.
