Why adopt a CSR approach?
Stakeholders in the fields of culture and education have a role to play in building a more sustainable world. Museums, festivals, symposia, conferences, universities… They are at the forefront of spreading these messages. However, organizing an event can sometimes, paradoxically, risk increasing its environmental impact. To align with a commitment to social responsibility, events can be redesigned to manage their environmental impacts. To achieve this, the voluntary ISO 20121 standard provides guidance!
Whether it’s a major sporting event, a cultural festival, a conference, or a corporate meeting, organizing an event requires considerable resources. To limit its impact on the planet, the organizer can eco-design their event.
This is what we call an eco-responsible event. By integrating social, ethical, and local dimensions into the project, the organizer fully embraces CSR and aligns the concept of responsibility with that of setting an example.
