Why adopt a cybersecurity approach?

The healthcare sector is a prime target for hackers, as the health data stored in healthcare facilities (names, contact information, Social Security numbers, medical records, prognoses, etc.) fetches a high price on the black market. Once stolen, this data is used to commit fraud, blackmail, or identity theft.
In France, healthcare facilities now account for a significant share of attacks reported to ANSSI, rising from 2.87% in 2020 to 11.4% in 2023.
