What are the careers in CSR?
Choosing a meaningful career and developing skills in corporate social responsibility: given today’s challenges, it is urgent to gain training in sustainable development and CSR.
Jobs related to CSR and sustainable development are becoming increasingly common in companies. Whether they have an environmental focus or not (with job titles related to environmental management), and whether they are highly operational or strategic in nature, they span all levels of the organization.
CSR Officer, Sustainability Manager, CSR Manager, Environmental Project Manager… While some roles are evolving, others are being created—whether out of a desire to be more sustainable or out of necessity to address health and economic crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, for example.
In either case, CSR expertise cannot be improvised: your company must prioritize team training, providing opportunities for employees to develop their skills in social and environmental issues.
The companies best prepared for unforeseen risks are those that share a culture of corporate responsibility, guided internally by trained and competent change agents.
How can you develop your CSR skills?
Sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, ISO 26000, workplace well-being… If you’re just starting out, these concepts can quickly become confusing. To master them and become an expert in CSR, training is helpful.
Through this proactive approach, your company will be able to:
- To learn about or gain a better understanding of the key issues in CSR and sustainable development, in light of the voluntary ISO 26000 standard
- Learn about more specific aspects of CSR, such as compliance, responsible purchasing or non-financial reporting .
- Plan, structure, and implement a CSR strategy in accordance with ISO 26000.
- Receive a certificate of training completion, which will enable you, among other things, to share your knowledge internally and engage stakeholders in a CSR initiative.
