Off-site construction: a new milestone with a framework
On April 16, 2026, AFNOR invites you to learn how voluntary standards help shape the off-site construction industry.
CSR and sustainability
Off-site construction is now emerging as a practical solution to the major challenges facing the construction industry. In particular, it helps address the housing crisis, speed up construction timelines, support energy-efficient renovations, and facilitate the transformation and densification of cities. However, for this approach to deliver on its promises, it is essential to establish a clear framework for the sector and facilitate collaboration among the various stakeholders.
With this goal in mind, AFNOR Normalisation is launching standardization efforts. The aim is to establish a common language and define shared principles throughout the process. These future standards will address several key topics, such as module design, smart management, and off-site digitalization, as well as the carbon footprint and acoustics of modules.
Manufacturers, off-site construction solution providers, architects, public and private project owners, specialized engineering firms, insurance companies, local governments, and others: we’ll explain it all during a virtual webinar on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Featuring presentations by:
- Stéphan de Faÿ, of the French Off-Site Construction Association
- Pierre Bruneau, Vice President of ACIM and President of Allomat
- Ivan Freulet, Head of the Risk and Technical Policy Department at the Social Union for Housing
