Drafting food industry standards

Voluntary standards in the food industry are developed by food industry professionals through committees that bring together all stakeholders, with the aim of serving the public interest. The most well-known of these is ISO 22000, which establishes a framework for food safety management systems. But as technologies evolve, there is always a need for new best practices to serve as benchmarks.
