AFNOR publishes a new edition of Monique Pierson’s first book. The author put her 2011 book into perspective, reaffirming that to be happy, we must first and foremost take care of ourselves properly.

To help you “be happy”, Monique Pierson takes you on a three-step journey. Find out what can prevent you from feeling good about yourself (part 1). I), how to get to work every morning without forcing yourself (part II), and how to simply enjoy life (part I). III). These are just some of the reflections that will help readers clean up their act and regain control of their lives.

The book develops each of these three stages through texts, quizzes, drawings and testimonials. Monique Pierson helps you discover the virtues of trust and benevolence, even at work! A useful book for finding out how our behavior shapes our quality of life and that of those around us. The author shows how everyone in the company can make their work a factor in health and well-being. She convinces us that everyone can play a part in improving the quality of life at work… just as they do at home!

A new edition to discover, to give yourself the chance to approach your life and your relationship with work differently and positively… And to allow yourself to become who you really are.

Monique Pierson, a scientist and psychologist by training, was the first woman to graduate from ISSEC (ESSEC Specialized Management, HRM option 1977). She took part in a collective retraining initiative for miners in the Lorraine coalfield, and has held HR positions in the pharmaceutical industry and retail. She was also the first woman in France to head up a hypermarket for a major chain, before going on to manage logistics and purchasing, and becoming a member of the management committee.

In 1998, she founded Diag’Expert, a management consulting firm, and now works as a speaker and workshop leader for managers.

She is also the author of L’art du management: en finir avec les idées reçues! co-authored with François Duvergé (AFNOR Éditions, 2014).
