Why implement a quality management system?

The shift toward quality in vocational training began in the late 2010s: to “clean house” and weed out the least scrupulous providers, the government first introduced the Datadock system, which was succeeded by the Qualiopi system under the 2018 law on the freedom to choose one’s professional future.
The Qualiopi certification is based on a National Quality Framework (RNQ) comprising 32 indicators grouped into 7 criteria. The audit reviews the entire quality management system and grants a certification valid for three years. The goal is not merely to comply with a government requirement—namely, to be certified in order to operate in the publicly funded market— but also to improve from one audit to the next, in order to offer ever-higher quality to learners. A training organization’s ability to embrace technological challenges (distance learning, artificial intelligence tools, etc.) is now becoming an important component of this overall quality.
