Gaining recognition for your commitment to renewable energy
Are you implementing a renewable energy production project? Demonstrate your commitment to rigorous standards and build trust with our certifications!
Our key energy efficiency certifications
- Recognition programs developed in collaboration with vocational training programs
- Documentary audits supplemented by on-site audits
- How to build trust locally

There are many sources of renewable energy, whether for generating heat, cooling, or electricity, to meet the needs of industry, the building sector, services, or transportation. And there are also many challenges involved in developing them!
However, the widespread use of renewable energy—alongside energy conservation and efficiency—is one of the pillars of the energy transition. To develop large-scale production and distribution infrastructure based on renewable energy, there are best practices to follow and a foundation of trust to build. To build this trust, nothing beats a certification awarded following an audit by a third-party organization. AFNOR Certification is your partner!
The Qualimétha label, for developers of sustainable anaerobic digestion projects
To help those who hold it reassure their stakeholders, particularly their financial backers, AFNOR Certification offers the Qualimétha label. Developed in collaboration with ATEE, it is intended for the various parties involved in the implementation of an anaerobic digestion project (engineering firms providing project management support, general contractors, designers, and builders).

The Qualimétha framework includes a comprehensive set of criteria covering financial, contractual, and insurance engineering, as well as aspects related to safety, risk management, and the robustness of technical processes. The certification is not intended to certify the biogas produced, which must meet other technical and chemical specifications.

Agrivoltaics involves installing solar panels in agricultural settings—not on the roofs of farms and barns, but on plots of land used for crop cultivation and livestock farming. The sector is supported by the March 10, 2023, law on accelerating renewable energy production.
Developed in collaboration with industry professionals and administered by AFNOR Certification, the Agrivoltaic Project label certifies projects that promote agricultural production and sustainably improve the performance of both the plot of land and the farm.
The certification program covers the entire process, from the design phase through to operation, for projects involving crop production or livestock farming. It serves as a mark of trust and transparency for stakeholders, assessing the project’s agricultural priority and quality.

To certify the renewable origin of electricity for consumers who wish to purchase green electricity, the French Agency for Ecological Transition (Ademe) has created the VertVolt label. It is based on a set of strict criteria, including the purchase of green electricity and guarantees of origin from the same producer—one that is French, no less.
Two levels of commitment have been defined and reflected in the logo: “committed” and “highly committed.” An optional designation, “nuclear-free,” is also available: under this option, the supplier waives its right to access the ARENH, a program that grants it access, at a regulated price, to electricity generated by existing nuclear power plants.
Are you an electricity supplier looking to demonstrate your commitment and stand out from the competition? AFNOR Certification has been commissioned by ADEME to conduct the certification audit.
Demonstrating the quality of energy equipment through NF certification
In all sectors—and in the renewable energy sector in particular—consumers, public and private buyers, project owners, and installers demand proof of quality and safety. Renewable energy holds great promise, and there is no room for disappointment. By certifying that a product or service meets performance requirements, NF certification addresses this dual need.
