Why adopt a responsible procurement approach?

Government agencies, administrative bodies, and public institutions have a duty to lead by example. This also applies to how these entities procure goods and services: furniture, vehicles, small supplies, and various services. The inclusion of CSR criteria in public procurement is now mandatory: for the 2022–2025 period, the National Sustainable Procurement Plan required that 100% of public procurement contracts include at least one significant environmental consideration.

The ISO 20400 standard encourages asking the right questions before adopting best practices.
