The 2026 Gold Standards Awards recognized projects that developed or utilized one or more voluntary standards in areas related to climate change, trustworthy and responsible digitalization, a more inclusive and diverse society, or projects that contribute to well-being and safety.
Industry representatives and stakeholders from the private and public sectors were presented with awards recognizing their standardization initiatives at this one-time event, organized as part of the celebration of 100 years of collective innovation.
An exceptional year calls for exceptional trophies!
To mark AFNOR’s 100th anniversary, we wanted a trophy that was both original and unique. To achieve this, we collaborated with the École Boulle, a higher education institution for the applied arts and a vocational high school specializing in the arts and crafts, interior architecture, and design. A talented team of six high school seniors in their final year of the Artistic Trades Program (FMA), specializing in cabinetmaking, designed and crafted this 100% handcrafted trophy. Made from sustainable, recycled, and recyclable materials, this trophy embodies AFNOR’s values.
