On October 17, 2024, the 2024 Gold Standards Awards ceremony took place. Six winners were recognized for applying the voluntary standard in the development of their businesses.

Category: Ecological Transition
Project : The development of the first international standards on the circular economy (ISO 59004 , 59010 , 59020 ) and the widespread promotion of the work carried out. The goal is to develop a common language and a framework for implementing the circular economy, and to create monitoring tools as well as a product circularity data sheet.

Joint winner: TOTALENERGIES – Decarbonizing maritime transport
Project : Contribute to the decarbonization of maritime transport by incorporating the following into the standard ISO 8217 , and the use of biodiesels. Serving as a benchmark for biofuel production, this standard updates the specifications for marine fuels to address current challenges related to greenhouse gas reduction while providing immediately applicable solutions.

Trusted and Responsible Digital Category
Winner: ETHIK-IA – Ensuring Human Oversight of AI in Healthcare
Project : Overseeing the work on AFNOR SPEC 2213 “ Ensuring the Human-Centric Design of Artificial Intelligence-Based Systems in Healthcare ". This AFNOR SPEC is intended to help improve the acceptance of AI in healthcare and build digital trust. It also serves as the foundation for establishing the "Human Guarantee" label, launched in February 2022 in partnership with the Digital Medical Hub.

Category: A more inclusive society that contributes to well-being
Winner: The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and the Ministry for Gender Equality and the Fight Against Discrimination.
Project : The development, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gender Equality and the Fight Against Discrimination and the Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, of the international standard ISO 53800, a tool for promoting gender equality. This standard enables public and private organizations to integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment into their strategies, actions, and operations.

Project : Co-leading, alongside the Eurométropole de Strasbourg, the development of AFNOR SPEC 2402, “Sustainable budgeting aligned with sustainable development goals for local authorities.” This AFNOR SPEC provides local stakeholders with a pragmatic, rigorous, and transparent method for steering, evaluating, and improving their initiatives around shared objectives.

Project : Leading and coordinating the work on AFNOR SPEC 2314 « General Framework for Frugal AI – Measuring and Reducing the Environmental Impact of AI ". This AFNOR SPEC provides a methodological framework for integrating environmental criteria into AI services, as well as an environmental assessment methodology. Finally, it identifies best practices for resource efficiency to be implemented.
