AFNOR, EFQM’s French partner

Since its creation in 1988, the management model proposed by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) has won over more than 50,000 organizations. In France, the AFNOR group is its official partner.

Based on best practices in organizations that achieve outstanding results, the model is constantly evolving. Since 2020, the EFQM Model has offered a new strategic approach to help you transform your organization, while maintaining a performance-based approach. It will help you consolidate your progress and set new objectives. It will positively support your questioning on the necessary adaptation of your organization to the challenges of an ever-changing world. A few adjustments were made to the text in the second edition of 2022

More than ever before, the EFQM Model will appeal to you as a way of giving new meaning and coherence to all the improvement initiatives already underway.

To facilitate continuous improvement and innovation, the EFQM Foundation and AFNOR are now offering access to the digital version of the EFQM Model.

Self-assessment, EFQM assessment: which to choose?

The EFQM recognition scheme is open to any organization, whatever its status, size, sector or quality maturity. It’s a way of improving performance and rewarding success.

Carrying out an EFQM self-assessment is the recommended first step on the road to excellence. It helps to identify, prioritize and implement improvement projects, which are then validated by an external assessor. You will then receive a first-level distinction: “Validated by EFQM”.

If you undertake a more in-depth assessment of your management practices, with a global and systemic view of your organization and activities, an EFQM assessor will deliver a detailed report, a progress plan, and recognition of the results obtained: “Recognized by EFQM” (depending on your maturity level, between 3* and 7*).
