Regulatory energy audit: do it with AFNOR Energies

2015, 2019, 2023… Every four years, the law requires “companies other than SMEs” to carry out an audit of their energy consumption, together with an action plan to reduce it: this is the regulatory energy audit. Entrust this mandatory audit to AFNOR Energies: we’ll do it for you, or train you to do it yourself!

Are you concerned by the mandatory energy audit? The answer lies in the Energy Efficiency Directive of October 25, 2012, transposed into French law by the DDADUE Act. Article 8 states: “Member States shall ensure that companies which are not SMEs are subject to an energy audit carried out independently and cost-effectively by qualified and/or accredited experts or implemented and supervised by independent authorities under national legislation, no later than December 5, 2015, and thereafter at least every four years from the last energy audit.”

Does your company employ more than 250 people and have one of the following two characteristics: annual sales in excess of €50 million or an annual balance sheet in excess of €43 million? You’ll need to carry out a statutory energy audit… unless you’re ISO 50001 certified. In France, the first campaign ended on December 5, 2015; the second will therefore end on December 5, 2019, with a further six months to register with the authorities. Take advantage of 2019 to prepare for it with AFNOR Energies!

The energy audit is not a free audit, but it will identify potential energy savings of 20-30%, which you can quickly turn into financial savings with the right methodology. AFNOR Energies and its team of qualified auditors have a perfect command of this methodology, and will be able to teach it to you, thanks to their knowledge of the standards, protocols and best practices governing this exercise (EN 16247, ISO 50002, IPMVP).
