• Visit of President Francois Hollande in China - Olivier Peyrat, Director General of AFNOR, with the official French delegation

  AFNOR and his Chinese counterpart, SAC - the standards body of the People's Republic of China - signed Thursday, April 25, 2013 an official statement of cooperation on standardization in the framework of the state visit of M. President Francois Hollande in China.

• Biomethane for injection in the natural gas grid and for use a fuel for vehicle engines, call for tenders from CEN

  CEN launches a call for tender for a study on the impact of siloxane on, automotive engines. The results of this study will contribute to the definition of siloxane limit value in biomethane in the framework of CEN/TC 408. A technical report will be drafted based on the results of the study.

• Employees’ productivity improved by environmental approaches: findings of a study supported by AFNOR

  The “Performance of organizations” Chair created following the initiative of the AFNOR Group and University of Paris-Dauphine has just completed a study demonstrating that companies which adopt environmental standards have 16% more productive employees than those that do not.

• Food safety - AFNOR Certification once again ranked 5 stars by BRC

  BRC standards determine a set of requirements on the safety and quality of food. AFNOR Certification is one of the few agencies in the world accredited by the British Retail Consortium to obtain the maximum score for the quality of its audits.

• Energy management: Schneider Electric UK is certified AFAQ ISO 50001 by the AFNOR Group

  On Monday 7 January, 15 sites of the British Schneider Electric subsidiary were awarded AFAQ ISO 50001 certification. They are committed to proactive energy management and regular audits by the AFNOR Group.
